William Robert Brookes. Loving Husband, devoted farther and brilliant grandfather. He is now at peace.
Bob was born in Liverpool on the 23rd october in Ellerslie road were he lived with his mother Henrietta, father Harold and siblings Jim, Millie and Kathleen. Bob married Eunice in 1949. He then lived at ellerslie for a further two years. In that time they had there first son Michael Robert in 1951. They then moved to Whinfell Road in Sandfield Park West Derby where bob lived for the rest of his life and where Eunice still lives. In 1954, they had there second child Clive Stuart, and in 1960, the had their third child Caroline Eunice. Bob worked very hard in his youth and went to night school to study courses that would later get him the job of Chairman of heating and ventilation in Liverpool. Such jobs included designing the ventilation system for Alder Hey Children's Hospital in parts of the hospital that would still be here today and in The Royal University Liverpool Hospital. Bob went carried on with this job until he retired at 65. When he retired he took up a hobbie. That hobbie was tapestry. Eunice and bob then decided to collaborate and make some home furnishings for themselves and the family. Bob doing the tapestry and Eunice making the cushion. He also joined Cooking for men when he retired and loved cooking for Eunice. He loved fine wines and malt whiskeys. Another pleasure he shared with his wife.Bob was an amazing grandfather to 9 grandchildren. Leigh 1979, Hayley 1982, Victoria 1983, David 1983, Stephen 1987, Elizabeth 1990, Mark 1990, Philip 1993 and Jack 1997.
He will be sorely missed by everyone who new him. In are hearts and minds forever
